FAQs

Q: What kind of experience can I expect?

A: First class, top notch work experience. We teach the most sought after marketable skills for a young person to gain while in school. Here's a few you can expect to learn if you're accepted onto our team.

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: Vector Marketing has been in Business since 1981, however, Cutco (our parent company) has been in business since 1949.

Q: Are your products any good?

A: Cutco is a top rated American made product, and has been named a Consumer's Digest Best Buy. Our products have also been featured on shows such as How it’s Made, Modern Marvels, and Made in America.

Q: What exactly would I be doing?

A: If accepted, you would be explaining Cutco products, answering customer questions, and helping them place orders. There is no cold-calling or canvassing - and no one is randomly knocking on doors. We work with our customers through professional appointments and they have agreed that they want to see the product, so it's in a relaxed setting.

Q: Why don't you sell products in stores?

A: We as a company make our products in America using the highest quality materials and guarantee them with a forever guarantee. If we sold in stores, our products would be marked up considerably because the store front would also have to make a profit, and we as a company don't think that is in the best interest of our customers. By selling Directly to the consumer it cuts down on costs- making Cutco affordable to any and all customers.

Q: What if I only work one semester/summer?

A: We are a stepping stone employer, we know that as a college student you're most likely not going to turn this into a full-time career, some do, however most students work with us for a short period of time; such as a summer time or a semester or two. They then use the experience to flourish in their chosen field of study or future internships.

Q: If accepted, where would I work?

A: We have multiple locations in Orange County and Los Angeles. The office is the local headquarters for representatives. Most students work in their local area after interviewing. They only come into the office once a week for brief meetings.
